A Penile-scrotal web may occur congenitally as this area is a transitional zone. Or it may be due to an overzealous circumcision which by virtue of an insufficiency of penile skin on the underside draws the scrotum into the shaft. Aside from dragging scrotal skin into the vagina during sex and associated hair pulling, this condition does detract from the true length of the penis as seen on side view. While some capable urologists will; make a Z-incision to relax the skin, the scarring that occurs (“Mark of Zorro”) could be unsightly and unduly attention getting. We prefer a V-Y plasty which keeps the linear incision (stem of the inverted Y) directly on the underside of the penis.
