Dr. Reed, Interested in unilateral testicular enhancement.  Had an undescended testicle which was brought down, you say “orchidopexy”, but the atrophic testis has never grown to normal size and my urologist says there is no need to remove it, as it may be making sperm and testosterone. Benjie

Dear Benjie,

Please look at before and after pictures  testicular enhancement surgery we have done on our web-site penisdoctor.com/testicular-enhancement There is no shortage of testicular implant suppliers and models to choose from, but we favor one that most closely resembles a normal testicle in softness. This means low durometer.  Some implant models we have seen may feel soft on the demo table top, but tend to elicit capsular contracture.  This is a fibrotic process seen also with breast implants that can tense an implant making it feel rock hard.

We will try to obtain a size that is a near if not a perfect match to your good testicle.  That one may be slightly larger than normal (compensatory hypertrophy). Naturally this is a shared decision. Most importantly when installed, we do not want an excessively large implant to rise higher than the emergence of your penis.  Could interfere with intromission.

Below I posted some before and after photos of patients who have received testicular implants.

Have a safe and happy July 4th.
