Need penile implant and length for erectile dysfunction (ED)

Dear Dr. Reed,  Looked at before and after photos of your penile implants and penile lengthening procedure.  Can both be done at the same time.  Jim

Dear Jim,

Thank you for visiting our web-site penisdoctor.com.  Please keep in mind a penile implant is the last resort for erectile dysfunction (ED).  While malleable implants should last a lifetime, most men will opt for an inflatable penile implant which may need revision surgery every 8 years or so on average. A lot depends on usage, reluctant to say that.

In that the head of the penis will not swell with an implant erection, the “party line” is most men will lose 3/8″ to 1/2″ in length compared to their most recent natural erection of yesteryear. Peer reviewed articles have shown that use of penile traction for a few months before penile implant surgery results in implantation of a longer penile implant.

We have also done simultaneous pubic lipectomy (also called pubic lift or escutcheonectomy).  Less risky to do this before penile implant surgery as an independent procedure.
