vasectomy with length and or girth

January 5, 2011

Dr. Reed,

Would it be possible to have a vasectomy in conjunction (simultaneous) to a penis lengthening and girth (belladerm) operation?

Thank you,

Jafer

Good morning Jafer,

Yes, we can do a vasectomy in conjunction with penile lengthening or with girth enhancement, but lengthening and girth enhancement cannot be done together.

That’s a blue print for disaster.

Sincerely,

Harold M. Reed, M.D.

Circumcision, correction of penile curvature, and vasectomy can be done at same time

Tuesday, October 25th, 2011

October 24, 2011

i’m a 30 year old male looking to do 2 or 3 types of surgery. 1 is the circumcision 2 is the vasectomy and 3 if there is any possibility to fix , my penis is tilted to the left and I want it to be a little more   Ellery

Good afternoon Ellery,

Thank you for your interest in what we do.  Your penis is one of the
most important cosmetic and functional features of your body.

Yes, all 3 procedures could be done at the same time.  I would need to see photos of your erection to provide a price quote.  Circumcision is frequently suggested at the time of penile degloving for curvature correction as the recovery is a lot smoother.  Please send down views, side views, and face on views by E-mail.

We have performed over 6500 cosmetic circumcisions and revisions
in the past 35 years and usually do several cases every week.

We have done sons of physicians, brothers, religious circumcisions,
men who have not seen the heads of their penis for 20 years! This
is your circumcision and we do it the way you want with respect
to 4 parameters.

Please don’t be like the patient done elsewhere who writes: “Dr. Reed I just got circumcised two days ago and my result was not what i expected. I was wondering when i recover can i get a consultation with you.” Photos sent and received (unspoken comment “disaster zone”)

Be assured we will show you every courtesy,

All the best,

Half a Marathon physician wishes to resume running after lengthening/vasectomy

Wednesday, March 23rd, 2011

March 23, 2011

Hello, I am a family physician from the Fargo/Moorhead area up north. I am looking at having a vasectomy and penile lengthening procedure done together. I have a few questions. Are you available for scheduling in april? How soon after this can I resume running? (I have a half marathon I am training for that will be may 21st) About how much extra would the vasectomy be on top of the lengthening procedure? Would then be considering the girth procedure next winter. Thanks for any info, Jason D.

Good afternoon Jason,

Thank you for your interest in what we do.

I know how important that half marathon is for you.

Better to have surgery afterwards, as I would not advise strenuous activity for 3 to 4 weeks after surgery.

Also consider the “pelvic steal.” That is the name given to the phenomenon your body is “hard wired” to supply your skeletal muscular system first.

When you run, blood leaves your penis. You need a good flaccid length and erect length periodically to maintain what we accomplish in the operating room, nd build upon that.

May I respectfully propose you wait until after May 21. We have availabilities the last week in May starting May 23rd.

Yes, we can do a vasectomy at the same time for the discounted fee of 400. You will need to followup with 2 seminal analyses at home.

Sincerely,

Harold M. Reed, M.D.

Circumcision with vasectomy

Monday, January 24th, 2011

what is the average wait time  for the  surgery  after one makes an appt.?  is the wait time  typically several months ?? less ? more ??  i  am interested  in BOTh  cirxcumsicion  and  vasectomy,,,  thanks  for  answering  my queries…  ps   can Dr. reed do  both  circumcision and  vasectomy same  day  ? if not,  what is  closest  amount  of  days apart  he’d be willing to do the  two procedures??  finally, emabarassing  to ask  this –but  during  procedures  is  one’s  penis  erect  due to  medications  injected  into  the  penis ??    Vladimir

Good morning Vladimir,

Yes, both can be done at the same time,.  If you are married,  a notarized letter of approval for vasectomy is required from your wife.   We do not produce an erection for circumcision,. but do put the penis on the strtetch to be sure we are not making it too tight.   Once tailor-tack sutures are put in, you will be given an opportunity to approve it is not too loose.

With kindest regards

Non scalpel vasectomy

Sunday, April 4th, 2010

April 2, 2010

Good afternoon Shannon,

Perhaps you mean a “no scalpel vasectomy”.  Yes, we can do that.  Please consider that a “non-scalpel” vasectomy is a promotional term, in that local anesthesia is applied with a small needle and is used to wet and soften the skin as well.  Then a pointed scissors with a spreading technique is used to “poke a hole” or tear the tissue down to the vas.  So, something sharp is used after all.

Our fee is 250 for consultation 500 for the procedure.

Sincerely,

Harold M. Reed, M.D.

Good morning Shannon,
Thank you for your interest in what we do.  Don’t rightly understand your
question about needles.  Even sutures have needles on the
end.  We can numb the skin so you don’t feel them.
We have performed over 5500 cosmetic circumcisions in the past 35 years
and usually do several cases every week.
We do ask that you stay for one, ideally 2 days at the Baltic
Hotel (advanced tourist class) and I will see you there daily.
You could return to an office environment 3 days after circumcision.
Our 2 layered wrap of soft conforming gauze and Coban will provide comfort
and reduce swelling.
We have done sons of physicians, medical students and residents, brothers,
religious circumcisions, men who have not seen the heads of their penis for 20 years,
and next week a father and 3 sons!
This is your circumcision and we do it the way you want with respect

After vasectomy, wife takes fertility drugs to get pregnant

Sunday, March 7th, 2010

Dr. Reed,

Will my vasectomy remain as effective if my wife is taking fertility enhancing meds?    She does not know about my procedure. And I DO NOT want her to get pregnant.

Chason

Hi Chason,

This question is a little sad because it suggests there may be some marital discord at least along these lines, and deception is anti-love in my opinion.

If you have a vasectomy, and most modern day urologists would ask for your wife’s consent for medical legal reasons, and your semen is checked at intervals, and contains no sperm, the progeny won’t be yours.

Yes, that has come up.

Sincerely,

Harold M. Reed, M.D.
