What do you consider to be the best type of circumcision, and is there any truth about penis enlargement?

Manny

January 20, 2012

Good afternoon Manny,

Thank you for your interest in what we do.  Your pen.is is one of the most important cosmetic and functional features of your body.

Yes, penile enhancement procedures do work for patients who follow the instructions.

If you are also considering circumcision, please have that first as it will make applying traction a lot easier.

We have performed over 6500 cosmetic circumcisions and revisions in the past 35 years and usually do several cases every week.

We have done sons of physicians, brothers, religious circumcisions, men who have not seen the heads of their penis for 20 years! This
is your circumcision and we do it the way you want with respect to 4 parameters.

Please don’t be like the patient done elsewhere who writes: “Dr. Reed I just got circumcised two days ago and my result was not what i expected. I was wondering
when i recover can i get a consultation with you.” Photos sent and received (unspoken comment “disaster zone”)

Be assured we will show you every courtesy,

All the best,

My wife and I are looking some some true answers about penile length surgery

Sunday, January 15th, 2012

January 15, 2012

Dear Dr. Reed

I’m wondering the costs of penile widening as my wife wants to put this in the budget if affordable. Is there financing if we can’t just payfor it? Also, Is the surgury permanant? Any side effects? Who should think about getting lenthened? What length do woman prefer? My wife won’t give me an honest answer.

Jason

January 15, 2012

Good morning Jason,

Thank you for your interest in what we do.  Dr. Whitehead is retiring and referred your inquiry to our office.  My phalloplasty experience dates back to1986 and includes several thousand procedures.

Surprising a new article recently published in Journal of Sexual Medicine does show that many woman prefer longer length, although it had been commonly believed the erogenous receptors were in the vulva, clitoral area and proximal third of the vagina, not the deep portion.

The risks in penile lengthening are very minimal (see our informed consent posted on our web-site), or else we won’t be doing this since 1986.  Any length you derive both from suregry and the use of traction (traction being moe important) is permanent unless obscured by a massive weight gain.  Medi-credit companies are out there.  In that this is elective sugery, save on your own and avoid the vigorish.

Please review our website http://www.penisdoctor.com/ for the answers to many commonly asked questions.  Our fees are also published there.

After reading the attached, if you believe I am the doctor for you, please initiate a consultation over the phone with our office by sending us your name, address, and telephone number in an envelope along with a check for 250.  We’ll get started ASAP.  We’ll have a lot to talk about.

Penile length questions, ED and hanging “dog tail” penile erection

Saturday, January 14th, 2012

January 12, 2012

I am inquiring about penis lengthening. I’ve done some research I’ve read some good things and some bad things. What concerns me most is

1. Erectile dysfunction – I certainly don’t wanna have a problem with that after the surgery. I don’t wanna solve a size problem but get another problem.

2. The before and after pics look great, but I read that the lengthening really only makes a difference in the flaccid state, and that an erection won’t be directed upwards anymore but towards the floor.

So my questions are : what are the chances of me having to take Viagra after the surgery to have an erection, will my erection point to the floor, and how much does this cost?

Ramsey

January 12, 2012

Good afternoon Ramsey,

Thank you for your interest in what we do.  Dr. Whitehead is retiring and referred your inquiry to our office.  My phalloplasty experience dates back to1986 and includes several thousand procedures.

Lengthening results are in the erect as well as flaccid stage, and penises go up pretty as a before, but are more deflectable.

So the standing joke is if you can hang 2 wet towels on our penis now without any deviation, after surgery plan on only one wet towel. The root of the penis is attached to the underside of the pubic bone which causes its typical elevation.  In surgery, only a portion of the suspensory ligament is released, the proximal portion is not disturbed.

In our experience with perhaps 2500 cases, only one reported some erectile impairment, and when referred to a specialist for evaluaion, he felt my operation did not cause this.  This singular incident occured about 10 or more years ago.

Please review our website http://www.penisdoctor.com/  for te answers to many commonly asked questions.  Our fees
are also published there.

After reading the attached, if you believe I am the doctor for you, please initiate a consultation over the phone with our office by sending us your name, address, and telephone number in an envelope along with a check for 250.  We’ll

Man desires 6″ circumference and financing to boot

Saturday, January 14th, 2012

January 10, 2012

Dear Dr. Reed

My penis is 5 inches in circumfrance and 6.25 inches long. While I know that this is within the normal range I would like to achieve a 6 inch circumfrance. My question to you is three fold. First, what is the cost of the procedure, and can I get financing? Second, Will my penis look abnormal if I do not get the glans enhancement as well? Third, what are the chances that I will lose sensation in my penis?

Benjamin

Good morning Benjamin,

Your stats are excellent as is and you can rest on your laurels.   Don’t think you can qualify for compassionate financing.  Your’re way too big.

Please review the attached.  We have not had patients report loss of sensation.

Any further questions, our office is available for consultation, fee 250.

Sincerely,

Harold M. Reed, M.D.

Combined, penile lengthening, and thickening. Can these be done together?

Saturday, December 31st, 2011

December 28, 2011

Dear Dr. Reed

I would like to know fee for a combined, penile lengthening, and thickening opp? can this be done together and how soon? what is the healing process ?

Inhman

Good afternoon Inhman.

These procedure should not be done together as this is a blueprint for disaster and at best poor length result.  You need to apply tractio0n within a few days after lengtrerhnibng surgery to miainatin what we asccomplsihed in the oeprating room ands buiold upon that.  If you have an incision on your penis (not pubis) the area will be too tender and you’ll be inclined to procrastinate.  Even if you started traction immediately you’ll tear your suture line apart.

Please review our web-site before calling the office http://www.penisdoctor.com/ Our fees are posted on our web-site.

Do the implants lengthen the penis as well as girth?

Saturday, December 3rd, 2011

December 3, 2011

Do the implants lengthen the penis as well as girth?  Budd

Good morning Budd,

Thank you for your interest in what we do.  Implants are not a good way to lengthen the penis.  It is being done by others and last week we saw an unhappy camper who will be having the silicone removed ASAP.

Every doctor has some good results from procedures which tend to have a higher complication rate.  If overly long implants (or any implants for that matter) are inserted into the erectile tissue space then you forfeit or lose natural erections.  If implanted under the skin, they tend to stretch the skin over the head of the penis in the flaccid state, and that doesn’t look too pretty.  Can be painful as well and often leads to extrusion or avulsion of the implant (a pressure sore from within).  Any implant manufacturer, especially AMS and Mentor-Coloplast will advise do not put into the corporal tissues a larger implant than comfortably fits, lest it break through.  Implants under the skin (IMHO) cannot extend the glans any further out, as the head is attached to corporal tissue which resists stretching from an object placed over it.

After reading the attached, if you believe I am the doctor for you, please initiate a consultation over the phone with our office by sending us your name, address, and telephone number in an envelope along with a check for 250.  We’ll get started ASAP.  We’ll have a lot to talk about.

How many inches could I gain?

Friday, December 2nd, 2011

December 2, 2011

Dear Dr. Reed,

I would like to know how many inches i could gain with the penile lengthening program, a saw a picture of one of your patient that achieved flaccid length slightly greater than 6 inches.

thanks   August

December 2, 2011

Good afternoon August,

The length result is more dependent on dedicated use of traction than surgery, although surgery can be a facilitator.

While every doctor has some very successful cases, truly the patient gets 65% of the credit.

Assuming your weight remains stable, whatever you gain is permanently yours.

Have a restful weekend,

Vietnamese man comments on length and asks about circumcision

Friday, December 2nd, 2011

December 2, 2011

Dear Dr. Reed,

Hi Dr. I am 44 years of ages, i am some what or kinda interesting do cricumcision, but i am very don’t know what to expected or healling. P.S. my is not that big very small about 3′, should i do or not thanks Dr.

Quang

December 2, 2011

Good morning Quang,

Thank you for your interest in what we do.  Your penis is one of the most important functional and cosmetic features of your body.

Oriental men may be smaller but still this is normal for you and 500,000 years of evolution and reproduction cannot be all that wrong.  Having a circumcision contrary to what you have been told, unless the foreskin is overly tight, will not enhance your length, but traction could and mention is made above in the attached.

Can’t say enough, for most men a circumcision is not medically necessary, but also true 85% of our circumcisions are done for patients who simply prefer to be circumcised.

We have performed over 6500 cosmetic circumcisions and revisions in the past 35 years and usually do several cases every week.

We have done sons of physicians, brothers, religious circumcisions, men who have not seen the heads of their penis for 20 years! This is your circumcision and we do it the way you want with respect to 4 parameters.

Please don’t be like the patient who writes: “Dr. Reed I just got circumcised (elsewhere) two days ago, and my result was not what i expected. I was wondering when i recover can i get a consultation with you.” Photos sent and received.  Unspoken comment: “disaster zone.”

Be assured we will show you every courtesy,

Junior in name only wants to expand further

Thursday, November 17th, 2011

November 17, 2011

I am looking for a surgeon who does both fat transfer and alloderm. This way they know the difference first hand and know the short/long term results. I’d like these questions answered please: Which procedure do you suggest? Do you use lasers? Is their erect length gained? Does the penis stay at erect length and not grow with fat transfer? Does the penis feel real and not too soft with fat transfer? What is the average of erect girth gained for each procedure? (I’ve seen 30% flacid and 5-10% erect) These are the questions I have. You are the only surgeon I have seen that does both procedures. I’d like to come to FL to have this done, assuming you are confident in positive results. I’m 3′ flacid length, 6.25′ erect length, 4.75′ flacid girth and 5′ erect girth. Please let me know your thoughts. I appreciate your time!  Junior

Good morning Junior,

Thank you for your interest in what we do.  Yes, we are having a promotional month this November. Kindly call Anne for details.

Taking your thoughtful questions in the order posed…

Which procedure do you suggest? For girth AlloDerm is the most consistent performer (IMHO).  We very seldom do autologous fat transfer as a primary procedure, only if a patient insists and has me
in a half Nelson.

Do you use lasers?

No, not for this purpose (unnecessary)

Is their erect length gained?See attached.

Does the penis stay at erect length and not grow with fat transfer?

Sorry question not clear

Does the penis feel real and not too soft with fat transfer?

Yes generally, but I do not recommend fat transfer because of many potential complications.

What is the average of erect girth gained for each procedure? (I’ve seen 30% flaccid and 5-10% erect)

Sorry, can’t be that specific

I’m 3.5 ” flaccid length, 6.37′ erect length, 4.8′ flaccid girth and 5.4′ erect girth.

Your stats are great now and you can rest on your laurels.  Please reconsider having surgery.

After reading the attached, if you believe I am the doctor for you, please initiate a consultation over the phone with our office  by sending us your name, address, and telephone number in an envelope along with a check for 250.  We’ll get started ASAP.  We’ll have a lot to talk  about.  Answers always beget more questions.

How many consultation needed for phalloplasty?

Sunday, October 9th, 2011

October 9, 2011

In regards to Penile Lengthening/Widening procedures or treatments; I would like to know, considering the fact that I am a resident of Arkansas, how many consults would be needed to schedule possible surgery. Please send me all information regarding risks, probability of success/failure rates following this procedure,as well as any other information available regarding this matter. Thank you for your time   Berwind I.

Good morning Berwind,

Thank you for your interest in what we do.  Dr. Whitehead is retiring and referred your inquiry to our office.  My phalloplasty experience dates back to1986 and includes several thousand procedures.

Seeing patients from out of town is routine.  If you are below the age of forty, in good health, have good height-weight conformation, you probably do not need medical clearance.  We do need to have a consultation with me and this can be initiated over the phone.  This will also include your first visit to the office (not lab work).

After reading the attached, if you believe I am the doctor for you, please initiate a consultation over the phone with our office by sending us your name, address, and telephone number in an envelope along with a check for 250.  We’ll get started ASAP.  We’ll have a lot to talk about.  Please review our informed consents posted on the web-site and the attached.

Many thanks for your E-mail inquiry and visiting our web-site
http://www.penisdoctor.com/enlargepenis.htm

We hope you can relate to our photo gallery of befores and afters.

Our fees are posted on our web-site.

Patients who have lengthening usually leave for home the next day.  You could probably return to an office environment in 3 days.

Or consultation on Thursday, surgery on Friday.  Monday, back to work.

From surgery anticipate a 3/8″  increase in length and with dedicated
use of traction, 8 hours a day in divided sessions, anticipate a 1/8″ gain each

month such that after 6 months you’ll have 3/8″ plus 6 x 1/8″ or 9/8″.  We say
about an inch longer erection in 6 months.  Flaccid lengths will be corresponding

longer.

Whenever you stop using traction whatever you have gained is permanently yours.

If you continue, more length gains will be accrued.

We do not do simultaneous surgery, such as any combination of length, girth of shaft, girth of glans, circumcision, or pubic liposuction.

Hardly a week goes by when some disillusioned patient done elsewhere calls us for a revision.  And we told you so.

Generally speaking the penis does not appreciate simultaneous surgery with a few exceptions.

With AlloDerm, we can say quite conservatively you can anticipate a 3/4″ gain in circumference if you have not already had penile girth enhancement which is permanent as far as we know having followed patients for 8 years or so who have had AlloDerm.

Most patients will do a lot better than that.   AlloDerm patients must be on strict bed rest with the exception of getting up to use the commode or eating in their room for 4 days.  Surgery is the zero day, and we certainly recommend you stay at the Baltic Hotel (877 622 5842) so I can see you daily as your penis will continue to swell for several days, and your dressing will be replaced often to accommodate a larger sized penis.  Mention my name for a discount.

AlloDerm is like particle board, when immersed in body fluids, it swells and swells for several days.  This spreading of the collagen fibers is helpful to permit ingrowth of a capillary bed and new cells of your own making.

Whereas AlloDerm comes from a cadaver, BellaDerm comes from a live donor.  There are many subtle differences which require telephone explanation.  I have not seen any communicable disease emerge with either product.  AlloDerm is packaged dry and swells like particle board.  BellaDerm is pre-packaged in solution and what you see after surgery is more or less what you get.

Early mobilization  is the great enemy of good graft take.   Again plan on staying in your room, stocking up on food or sending out for food.  Good Italian, Greek and Chinese restaurants abound with delivery service only a telephone call away..  I’ve have been known to go shopping for some patients at Publix.  You won’t starve.

If you have AlloDerm surgery on Tuesday, you could be back in an office environment on the following Monday.  If you do manual labor you may wish to wait a good week after surgery and avoid trauma to your genitals.

Most likely you will have many questions and we are available for consultation only, if that suits your purposes.

Candidates who wish to schedule surgery with our facility are required to have phone
consultation with a favorable response to questions of concern.  Assuming this, you will be given the nod to send in a 50% deposit which is non-refundable.

All patents will require these blood tests: a recent CBC,  platelet count, PT and PTT.  This can be done at our office the day before surgery or in your home town. These tests run about $100.

If you are over 40 or are on medications, please call the office before scheduling surgery, as a letter of medical clearance may be required.

If you are a smoker, you must stop completely for 2 months before surgery (girth enhancement especially) and please never again.

Smoking causes vaso-spasm, impairs wound healing, produces excessive scarring, tissue necrosis, irritates and inflames pulmonary membranes and enhances anesthetic risk.  However, most of our penile surgery is done under local anesthesia with IV sedation.

This goes also for any products containing nicotine or nicotine like agents including nicorette gum, nicotine patches, Nicotrol inhalers, and second hand smoke.
Again not for 8 weeks before and not for 8 weeks afterwards. Hopefully never again.

Please no aspirin or aspirin products, no anti-inflammatory drugs such as Motrin, Advil, Alleve, or Cox 2 inhibitors such as Celebrex or Vioxx for a week before surgery. No Vitamin E or excessive alcohol or spices for a week before surgery as this may promote bruising. Bruising can be reduced (many believe) with Bromelain 500 mg 1 twice
a day, Arnica montana (Boiron brand) dose 30C (take 4 small tablets sublingually, 4 times a day), vitamin C 500 mg (3 times a day) starting 1 week before surgery. Do take these medications unless there are specific reasons why you choose not to and let’s discuss it beforehand.

Boiron brand is available at Whole Foods and on the web at http://www.vitaminshoppe.com for “pennies” and we do notice a difference.  You will need 2 vials.

We recommend the Baltic Hotel (advanced tourist class)  in Miami Beach (877-622-5842), 7643 Harding Avenue where Cristina the owner-manager takes a special interest in our patients.  Somewhat more posh is Daddy O’s Hotel (305-868-4141).   In that I need to follow you there every day,  we strongly advise if you have any other thoughts, please confer with us, as these Hotels are the exception to the concept that doctors don’t  make house calls anymore.

We hope to have the pleasure of serving you
whenever your travel plans include the South
Florida area.

With regards,

Harold M. Reed, M.D. FICS
