Tight foreskin and frenulum, painful sex

Sunday, February 14th, 2010

i am in desperate need of consultation. ever since i was a teen i knew i had some problem….i am 27 yr old male dealing with tight foreskin and tight frenulum. i am not being able to maintain erection and need to self stimulate myself to get an erection. i strongly believe this is cause of my tight foreskin and frenulum. i cannot imagine a girl pulling my skin back as it is very uncomfortable? penetration is possible but i go soft after a minute or so once the skin starts pulling back… i dont know whether this will be fixed if i go for circumcision….i dont knwo whether its a physical problem. i am trying to stretch my skin. do u think there is a possibilty of having erection problems cause of tight foreskin and frenulum…do u think this can be fixed once circumcised. have u come across a situation similar as mine and was normal after circumcision? also my penis bends downwards..not an issue for me and dun think it peyronies… i am very frustrated and am lookin for soem guidance some logic and some sense to my condition. hope to hear from you, any advise would help me more than u can imagine.

i have been researching for years now and havent come across a situation similar to mine. thanks

Jason

Good morning Jason,

Difficult to sustain an erection when you are having pain.  Yes, for your tight foreskin (phimosis) I do recommend a cosmetically performed adult circumcision.  The frenunlm is usually removed at the same time, and that’s included in our fee.  I do believe once that is done, you’ll find  most of your concerns will be in the past.  Downard erection may be a freunulum problem.  We’ll have to see about that when you are at the office.

Be assured we will show you every courtesy,

Dr. Reed, when you do a circumcision what are your recomnmendations?   Will I lose any pleasure if it is removed?
Luigi from the Bronx.

Good afternoon Luigi,

We have noted that 80% of our patients request the frenulum be removed, some wish that because it has been problematic in the past with bleeding, minor tearing, some downward tilt of the glans (head). Interesting;of the 20% that don’t want it removed, 80% of these patients come back and say,  “Doctor, now remove it.”

Studies have shown that aside from any pleasure your frenulum or foreskin for that matter provides, removing it will not effect your ejaculatory latency time, one way or the other. In other words you will be as equally orgasmic with or with it.

There will always be a rare patient who bemoans the lose of his frenulum, and I wonder if there is not always the rare female who bemoans lose of her hymen (after marriage of course).
