Penile enlargement questions

Thursday, August 11th, 2011

August 11, 2011

Dear Dr. Reed,

I have a few questions for you. If you could answer them  with some good information for me.

1. My girth is 4 1/2 erect. That’s quite skinny. Can i get to a girth of 6 inches through your surgery ?

2. The alloderm once it’s in the penis…when it’s erect, how does the alloderm feel ? Is the penis still rock hard like my erections now ? Or is it kinda squishy and you loose a little of the firmness and hardness ?

3. Does the surgery affect the erectile angle of the penis ? Angle is actually extremely important in sex and having a good angle around 2 o clock position is a huge plus. Would the surgery affect the erections angle so it points lower and cant rise to where it once was ?

4. Do you have any erect before and after pictures ? I see ones on all the sites in flaccid but im interested in the erection as well.

5. Is there any way to determine how much penis is inside a man’s body for lengthening surgery ? What is the average amount inside and what is the largest amount you’ve seen ?

Thank you,

Charles M.

Dear Charles,

Thank you for your interest in what we do.  Taking your thoughtful questions in the order posed…

1. My girth is 4 1/2 erect. That’s quite skinny. Can I get to a girth of 6 inches through your surgery ?Perhaps with 2 applications of AlloDerm

2. The alloderm once it’s in the penis…when it’s erect, how does the alloderm feel ?
Is the penis still rock hard like my erections now ? Or is it kinda squishy and you
loose a little of the firmness and hardness ?

Seems to feel by and large like normal penis. If your penis flaccid is not soft and squishing now, neither will
it be with AlloDerm, nor will it be that way erect.

3. Does the surgery affect the erectile angle of the penis ?No, for reasons we’ll discuss when you initiate a consultation over the phone.

4.  Angle is actually extremely important in sex and having a good angle around 2 o clock position
is a huge plus. Would the surgery affect the erections angle so it points lower and cant rise to where it once was ?
Do you have any erect before and after pictures?   I see ones on all the sites in flaccid but im interested in the erection as well.
When you become an established patient by initiating a consultation, I’ll show you a photo that will answer question concern
not shown on our web-site.

5. Is there any way to determine how much penis is inside a man’s body for lengthening surgery ?No.

6. What is the average amount inside and what is the largest amount you’ve seen ?3/8″ on average, nothing more impressive than that.

After reading the attached, if you believe I am the doctor for you, please initiate a consultation over the phone with our office by sending us your name, address, and telephone number n an envelope along with a check for 250.  We’ll get started ASAP.  We’ll have a lot to talk about.

How far apart should girth enhancement be staged after penile lengthening

Sunday, August 7th, 2011

August 7, 2011

Dear Dr. Reed,

The operations should be staged?  from what you are saying.   I was wondering how long apart

Celio

Good morning Celio,

Do not proceed with girth enhancement until you are happy with your length result which is 65% dependant upon your use of traction for a minimum of 8 hours every 24.

Typically a wait of 6 months, could be a year and a half.

Adding girth requires longer strips.  “Get-there-itis” brings a lot of  revision patients to my office from other primary locations.

Have a restful Sunday,

Putting in more sheets (of AlloDerm, BellaDerm) to make it thicker

Thursday, April 21st, 2011

April 15, 2011

Hi there i was wondering firstly the average gain in erect length i will be able to obtain with say for example a 1 inch increase in length. Seconddlt ive come across this surgical enter who claim to “put in 4-5 sheets compared to 1-3 sheets from other surgeon’s” Is this even safe and how many sheets would Dr so and so  use?

Roland

Good morning Roland,

Dr. so and so is no longer in practice.  We do not stack sheets as this is a blue print for disaster.  We use the thickest strips available, single layer.

Doctors who do stack, have a higher incidence of complications for many reasons.

However, if this is your goal, for sure someone will accede to your request.

Best wishes,

Harold M. Reed, M.D.

Had autologous fat transfer to penis with some loss, now seeks AlloDerm

Saturday, April 2nd, 2011

April 1, 2011

I’ve had the girth enhancement fat transfer done in the 90′s. I would just like a “touch up” to even out after weight loss. Can you help me with this? If so, what would the cost be?

Thanks
 Richard

Good afternoon Richard,

Thank you for your interest in what we do.  Yes, can be
done assuming some essential conditions such as available fat stores
and laxity of penile skin.  Our fee: 4000.

After reading the attached, if you believe I am the doctor
for you, please initiate a consultation over the phone with our office
by sending us your name, address, and telephone number
in an envelope along with a check for 250.  We’ll

Penile Girth Enhancement, effect on sensation, and many questions

Saturday, March 26th, 2011

March 26, 2011

Hi Dr. Reed, I saw your website online and may be interested in surgery. I have a few questions and concerns first however. Do the widening procedures “cover up” the nerves responsible for ejaculation with fat or Alloderm? Or will these nerves stay “on top” of the new material? I already have a harder time than most ejaculating so any decrease in sensation that might come as a result of the nerves being harder to stimulate absolutely can’t happen. (The main reason I am considering surgery is for better contact and thus easier stimulation during intercourse.) Is one widening procedure better than the other in terms of keeping (or if possible improving) sensation? How common is loss of sensation with both procedures? With the Alloderm or Belladerm, will it feel like there is a “barrier” during sex or will it just feel like part of my penis?
Also, is your glanular enhancement surgery permanent or will I need touch ups?
I noticed on your website that you say to expect 3/4 inch in gains with the Alloderm widening procedure. Is this flaccid or erect? If it is flaccid, what erect gains can I expect? Thanks for your help. I look forward to hearing from you.    Geoff

Good morning Geoff,

Thank you for your interest in what we do.

Happy to answer some starter questions for you.

Please be mindful that no surgeon can make a promise of specific performance and that every operation, even if performed by an experienced surgeon, has the potential for complications. Please review our informed consents posted on our web-site.

(The main reason I am considering surgery is for better contact and thus easier stimulation during intercourse.)

There is a medication that is helpful to reduce ejaculatory latency time and works in over 80% of my patients. You may wish also to see urologist/neurologist to do some nerve conduction studies. Conceivably increased frictional contact could be helpful.  There are also postural remedies as well.

Is one widening procedure better than the other in terms of keeping (or if possible improving) sensation?

Doubtful as widening procedures are not touted to predictably enhanced sensation.

How common is loss of sensation with both procedures?

Surprisingly, I have not had any patient complain about loss of sensation but conceivably this could occur.

With the AlloDerm or BellaDerm, will it feel like there is a “barrier” during sex or will it just feel like part of my penis?

Based on what patients have said, I would think the latter.

Also, is your glanular enhancement surgery permanent or will I need touch ups?

Please review our web-site as this question is answered there.

I noticed on your web-site that you say to expect 3/4 inch gains with the AlloDerm widening procedure. Is this flaccid or erect?  If it is flaccid, what erect gains can I expect?

The web-site says “about 3/4 inch increase with AlloDerm.”  This is in the flaccid state and for circumference not diameter.  Yes, your erections will also be fuller, but exactly how much cannot be specified.

As always, answers beget more questions and if there is further interest please initiate a consultation by sending us your name, address, and phone number in an envelope along with a check for 250. This is a one time charge which also provides for further discussion and examination at the office, should you wish.

Sincerely,

Harold M. Reed, M.D.

Circumcision and girth enhancement requested

Sunday, March 20th, 2011

March 20, 2011

I would like to discuss Price & payments. styles of circumcision. possible shaft enlargement.

Jesse

Good afternoon Jesse,

Thank you for your interest in what we do.  Our fees are posted on our web-site and you must be pre-paid before surgery.  Your penis is one of the most important cosmetic and functional features of your body.

We have performed over 6000 cosmetic circumcisions and revisions in the past 35 years and usually do several cases every week.

We have done sons of physicians, brothers, religious circumcisions,
men who have not seen the heads of their penis for 20 years! This
is your circumcision and we do it the way you want with respect
to 4 parameters.

Please don’t be like the patient who writes: “Dr. Reed I just got circumcised
(elsewhere) two days ago, and my result was not what i expected. I was
wondering when i recover can i get a consultation with you.” Photos sent
and received (unspoken comment “disaster zone”)

Generally speaking the penis does not appreciate simultaneous surgery with a few exceptions.

With AlloDerm, we can say quite conservatively you can anticipate a 3/4″ gain in circumference if you have not already had penile girth enhancement which is permanent as far as we know having followed patients for 8 years or so who have had AlloDerm.

Most patients will do a lot better than that.   AlloDerm patients must be on strict bed rest with the exception of getting up to use the commode or eating in their room for 4 days.  Surgery is the zero day, and we certainly recommend you stay at the Baltic Hotel (877 622 5842) so I can see you daily as your penis will continue to swell for several days, and your dressing will be replaced often to accommodate a larger sized penis.  Mention my name for a discount.

AlloDerm is like particle board, when immersed in body fluids, it swells and swells for several days.  This spreading of the collagen fibers is helpful to permit ingrowth of a capillary bed and new cells of your own making.

Whereas AlloDerm comes from a cadaver, BellaDerm comes from a live donor.  There are many subtle differences which require telephone explanation.  I have not seen any communicable disease emerge with either product.  AlloDerm is packaged dry and swells like particle board.  BellaDerm is pre-packaged in solution and what you see after surgery is more or less what you get.

Early mobilization  is the great enemy of good graft take.   Again plan on staying in your room, stocking up on food or sending out for food.  Good Italian, Greek and Chinese restaurants abound with delivery service only a telephone call away..  I’ve have been known to go shopping for some patients at Publix.  You won’t starve.

If you have AlloDerm surgery on Tuesday, you could be back in an office environment on the following Monday.  If you do manual labor you may wish to wait a good week after surgery and avoid trauma to your genitals.

Be assured we will show you every courtesy,

All the best,

Harold M. Reed, M.D.

I am 57 years old. And am considering a Penile Prosthesis because of E.D . My doctor skirts around some very important questions I have. Length and girth. I would consider a trip to FL to get the operation. Thank you for your time.  Geoffrey

November 26, 2010

Good morning Geoffrey,

Many thanks for your in interest in what we do.  Since 1975, I have installed about 2000 implants and the closest and most appreciative relationship I have with patients relate to those who have regained the wherewithal to penetrate.

There are some thoughts about combining  enhancing length with implant surgery I’d like to share with you.   Yes, this can be done.   However, doing girth at the same time is too much surgery.  I would  respectfully propose you defer this until after your implant is well healed and encapsulated, a good 6 months later perhaps.

Be assure we look forward to your initialing a consultation over the phone (one time fee of 250) and when you arrive, anticipate we will show you every  courtesy.

Have a restful Holiday week!

Yours faithfully,

October 25, 2010

Good afternoon Lemuel,

Thank you for your continued interest in what we do.

If the tissues are well healed enough we probably could do BellaDerm at the same time.  Your will need to stay here for a good week after surgery so I can follow you on a daily basis.

We will use your photos after we do the revision.  Thank you for that.

Sincerely,

Harold M. Reed, M.D.

Combining length and girth, primrose path to disaster

Sunday, September 12th, 2010

Which procedure do you recommend for girth enhancement? Which one feels the most like pre op flesh?  Would girth enhancement alone prevent the penis from shrinking and do you gain any length from the girth procedure?  Do you use any implants in the lengthening procedure to prevent retraction?

Can any type of girth procedure be done together with lengthening?
Would I be able to drive home 3 days after the procedure (10 hr drive)?   Calvin

September 12, 2010

Good morning Calvin,

Thank you for your interest in what we do.

Either AlloDerm or BellaDerm would be acceptable and in our hands produce similar results.  No sir, do no combine length and girth enhancement as the results for length are lackluster at best and often disastrous.  We have patients coming to our office every month who have had “get-there-itis” and rue the day.   You cannot drive home or go to the mall after the procedure.  Right to bed at a nearby motel and bed rest for 4 days.  Yes, sir.

You want a beautiful result or do you want your penis to have more wrinkles than a stewed prune?

Girth enhancement will not prevent the penis from flaccid contracture as the material is soft (like a wet chamois).

We tried implants for length about 12 years or so ago, and desisted because of the overly high incidence of extrusion of the silicone strips.  We have also heard repeatedly that other physician(s) who employ this technique are (in the here and now) having patients with similar experiences.

Not all that glitters is gold.

Have a restful Sunday,

Harold M. Reed, M.D.

Interested in BellaDerm

Sunday, September 12th, 2010

Hello there,
I am interested in the belloderm procedure. My measurements are 6 x 4.5 what sort of gains would I expect. do the grafts reabsorbe over time. I live in Australia, how would I have to stay in USA for recovery. And how long is recommended to have off work, I work in construction.

Thank you,  Harnon

September 12, 2010

Good morning Harnon,

Thank you for your interest in what we do.

The grafts may, (may) reabsorb by about 10% but this is more than offset by replacement with cells of your own making. Please expect some added girth from the bruise effect which will subside, but afterwards the wind up is you should have a noticeable difference in girth.

Please avoid any possibility for genital trauma or straddle injury for a good 6 to 7 weeks. Yes, if caution is exercised you could return to work earlier, perhaps 2 weeks after surgery.
