Partial circumcision (“cigar clipping”)
I was wondering if it were possible for you to perform a partil circumcision. I am happy with my foreskin, have no problems with it, etc. It is just a bit too long for my taste and I would liek to have it maybe 1/2 an inch shorter. I have read online that this surgery is called a partial circumcision or a minimal circumcision. Have you done this procedure before? How exactly would it happen? I would like to have minimal visible scarring and keep the retracting nature of the foreskin intact. Would this be a sleeve resection method? Would the frenulum be removed? Thanks, I appreciate your response. Daryl
Hello,
Yes the outcome in that figure is how I want my penis to end up. I have heard that partial circs often result in scar tissues causing phimosis, is this true?

Good afternoon Daryl,
A partial circ will certainly result in a lot more swelling
and may make it impossible for you to retract your foreskin for several
weeks for daily hygiene. You will need to use a Q-tip with warm
water and very dilute soap.
Phimosis would most likely persist if the patient had that to begin
with and the doctor did not remove enough scar tissue.
We are very careful about that.
With kindest regards,
Harold M. Reed, M.D.
Would the frenulum need to be removed in a partial circ? Also, I’ve never had problems with phimosis, just a long foreskin, so i’m assuming that phimosis would not happen after a partial circ. What about scarring? is it on the inner or outer foreskin? Are most people happy withtheir partial circ procedures?

Good afternoon Daryl,
The frenulum does not have to be removed.
The incision line can wind up at the end or further inside
or outside.
Please initiate a consultation with our office by sending us
a check for 250 when there is further interest.
Sincerely,
Harold M. Reed, M.D.
